Scavenger Hunts

Oh, the excitement of those clues. Running around, deciphering the hints, and wondering if that next one will lead us to the ultimate prize!

Let’s face it: everybody loves scavenger hunts. There’s no age limit whatsoever, and the thrill can be felt and appreciated by all.

What if you could still do scavenger hunts? BIG scavenger hunts?!

You can!

There are clubs and contests for scavenger hunts all over the world. You can do it solo or team up with–or against–family, friends, or others. If you’re up for an adventure that involves searching for clues, collecting items, performing tasks, and more to get to the finish line, then this is for you!

Also called a Scaventure, these adventures can take you to places you’ve never been or just around your home town. Planning a family vacation? Maybe you could look into a scavenger hunt taking place while you’re there!

We’ve found some great resources for getting started and taking part in them in America.

Way Marking is a site by Groundspeak (who created Geocaching.com) that provides a great scavenger hunt database so you can search for one near you. Scavenger Hunt Atlanta┬áis one of America’s largest scavenger-hunt companies that hosts unique and challenging hunts every month. You could even look for state- or region-specific scavenger hunt company, such as Adventures Unlimited in Florida, that provides these adventures as one of their regular, everyday activities.

Keep an eye out on our website for a growing list of scavenger hunt locations and ideas on our Idea Bandages page. This is yet another fun and unique way to do things with your family and friends!

Happy Trails,
